Host settings
Turn on track registration and set the rules clubs will follow.
Most limits work the same for track and cross country. Only track can turn live registration on today.
Turn on registration
Listing a meet is separate from opening online entry. On the upcoming-meet form, check Enable roster registration when you are ready. Indoor Track and Outdoor Track are live. Cross country can store the same limit settings, but the live toggle stays off until XC registration ships.
- Registration deadline: date, time, and timezone (for example 5:00 PM Central).
- Scratch deadline: same idea; scratches stay open until that instant.
- After enabling, open Schedule for event order, add/delete Men or Women events, women or men first, start times, per-event grade limits, and day of the meet when you have an end date. Outdoor forecasts use that day and time.
Shared rules (track and XC)
- Gender first: women first or men first in the default order.
- Max running events: optional cap (track running only, or XC race count).
- Max total events: optional cap (track running plus field).
- One counting race: at most one event that counts toward the cap. Open or exhibition races can be marked so they do not count. This defaults on for XC.
- Grades: optional Fr, So, Jr, Sr, Gr per event on Event order. Leave all unchecked on an event for no limit there. Roster grades come from the team page. Provisional athletes need a grade when that event is limited.
-
Exclusive events: one group per line, like
Mile | 3000m. An athlete may enter only one event from each group.
Track extras
- Automark-qualified entries first: for any Indoor/Outdoor Track meet. Set M/F standards for events on Event order (any events you host - not only nationals). Entries that meet those marks seed and list first. If standards are empty, relay seeds still fall back to sitewide Automark team marks. There is no XC Automark.
- Mixed relays: default schedules include Mixed 4x400 outdoors and Mixed DMR indoors. Starters must be two men and two women. Add more mixed relays from the schedule page.
- Temporary teams and unattached entries are off by default and uncommon - most meets leave them off. Turn them on only if visitors without a claimed NIRCA club should self-register. Claimed-club users cannot use guest paths. Temp team names cannot match an official club name. Names stay meet-local (no public team or athlete pages).
